Community Outreach Service Learning

Leading Internship, volunteering, Community Outreach service learning, Pre-med, Public Health and Nursing program to the Dominican Republic.



Student Agency Services or SAS, currently operating as Student Services, was officially funded and incorporated in the Dominican Republic in 2000 as a student & researcher service agency for students and professionals. Its function is to promote, organize, provide, and take charge of logistics, student training, development programs, and academic policies, and to provide and coordinate with professors to provide materials that will be used in the teaching process. Incorporated in the D.R. as RNC No. 123-014996; registered in the USA under IRS section 501 (c) (3) FID No. 82-5266169.


The reason for you to visit our links below and inquire further about our programs is simple--we have more than 20 years of experience in the world of student and researcher services, exchange programs of all kinds, and educational tours all over the island, with accommodations available in resorts, hotels of all levels, remote inns and camping sites.


Our programs include, but are not limited to student exchange programs, Premed, Nursing, Public Health, Community Outreach service learning, Summer leadership, Community ESL, Earlier Childhood program, Spanish programs, sports programs, historical-cultural-ecological tours, adventure tours, summer and spring break programs, volunteer programs, Gap Program of all kinds, Latin American and Caribbean Studies classes/presentations in English and/or Spanish, internships and other special opportunities for students and/or other interested persons in a wide variety of fields.




PROGRAM ITINARY


Day 1. – Santo Domingo Depart Home for Dominican Republic. Arrive in Santo Domingo, check in at place for accommodation Orientation Walking Tour. – The group will become oriented with their neighborhood, the public transportation systems, nearby pharmacies, markets, ATMs, etc. Additionally, an in-depth safety briefing will be provided for what to do incase of emergency.

Welcome Dinner.- The group will be taken for an authentic dinner with a wide variety of menu options to cater all diets.

Day 2.- Santo Domingo Breakfast & Day Briefing, Transfer to Guanin Community Center.- Workshop about the community of la Piedra and introduction to the community project

Visit to the field work, introduction to the team work.

Day 4.- Guanin Community Center Breakfast & Day Briefing, – Full day community project Group Lunch (included) Interaction with Youth local Leader in Boca Chica 1.- Hour Leadership Seminar Group Dinner (included)


Day 5.- Guanin Community Center Breakfast & Day Briefing.- – Full day community project Group Lunch (included) Follow Up community project and Ecotur Community Tour. 1.- Hour Leadership Seminar BBQ Group Dinner.- Vegetrian/Vegan options available Day 6.- Guanin Community Center/ Las Terrena. Breakfast & Day Briefing.- Community Project. Group Lunch (included) Travel to North Coast (approx. 4 hours drive) Check-in Relax & free afternoon. Dinner by the beach (no included)

Day 7. – Las Terrena, Samana Breakfast & Day Briefing Samana Ziplining. – If you are looking for adventure then you will love Samana Treetop Zipline. Lunch Buffet (included) Structured Free time and Cultural Immersion. Fiesta de despedida & program Closing

Day 8. – Las Terrena / Airport Santo Domingo Breakfast & Day Briefing

End of the program.


Depart Dominican Republic for home, life changing program.
